This SFF-8643 U.2 to PCIe 4x adapter converts the PCIe interface on the motherboard into a U.2 or connect 2.5" NVMe U. 2 (SFF-8639) SSD to the PCIe interface of the motherboard via the SFF-8643 to the SFF-8639 cable.The U.2 SSD could in loaded onto a backplane that has the SFF-8643 connector to interface with Adapter, allowing the U.2 SSD to be used like a drive cartridge.
