Overview

The LRFN9A12 is a high-performance, low-loss interface conversion card that converts two MCIO interfaces through a PCIe5.0 x16 interface, connecting to either an NVMe SSD or a PCle interface. Its bandwidth matches the maximum capacity of the motherboard's PCle slot.

Motherboards with CPU and BIOS must support split functionality to ensure the PCle x16 link width can split into two x8 link widths or four x4 link widths for NVMe SSDs. Otherwise, the card will only support PCle x16 link width.

The adapter can run or communicate with connected NVMe drives without requiring a driver. The host sees the drive as a native device and uses the native NVMe driver.
