Project Background:
With the development of computers, communications and network technologies, the pace of global informatization is getting faster and faster. Network information systems have become a country, an industry, a group and an enterprise seeks to develop infrastructure. While human beings feel the tremendous contribution of network information systems to social civilization, they also recognize that the issue of network information security has become a major and key issue that must be resolved affect the country, the military industry, and the long-term interests. The country without network security solutions, there is no security guarantee for information infrastructure, no national sovereignty and national security in cyberspace, and the country’s political, military, economic, cultural, educational, social life, etc. will be in the threat of information war.

Introduction:
Laying fiber to the desktop (FTTD) network in office buildings
Fiber-to-the-desktop (FTTD) networks are generally deployed in office buildings. This article uses a 4 floors office building as an example to illustrate the process of laying fiber-to-the-desktop (FTTD) networks.
As shown in the below picture, the server room is on the first floor, and the other floors are office areas.

The fiber-to-the-desktop (FTTD) network can be divided into three areas for wiring: server room wiring, office area wiring and desktop wiring.

Server room wiring
Before start the wiring, the network equipment model number such as the switch, the quantity and type of optical cables used and the cable routing scheme should be confirmed based on actual demands.

The fiber optic cables quantity in fiber-to-the-desktop (FTTD) applications should be minimized because fiber optic cables are weak and difficult to manage. One of the effective methods to achieve this goal is to use BiDi optical modules on the switch, so that the fiber optic cables quantity can be reduced by half. The following lists the BiDi optical modules that are recommended for use in the server room and the types of fiber cable and switches that are used in conjunction with them:

In order to better manage the equipment and cables in the server room, we also need to use racks, adapter panels and wiring boxes.
In addition, an open rack is preferably used in the server room to facilitate flexible cabling. When the small quantity optical cable, the adapter panel is enough. When the large quantity optical cables, a compact distribution box is required.

Office area wiring
Since fiber optic cables must be connected to desk in every office, it is best to install a hub at each floor in order to save fiber resources and facilitate fiber management. If the number of desks is large, it is necessary to install a hub in each office.

Desk wiring
The final step in laying fiber to the desktop (FTTD) is to connect the fiber optic cable to a computer, VoIP phone, and other terminal devices. At this point, a fiber-optic socket panel is needed. In addition, since most terminal devices have only electrical ports and no optical ports, we also need to use optical network terminals (ONTs) to convert optical signals into electrical signals. The approach is to connect the optical network terminal (ONT) and the wall fiber socket panel with an optical fiber cable, and then connect the optical network terminal (ONT) and the terminal equipment with network cable.

Project effect:
The plan is to use the LRC9250PF-SFP fiber optic network card with China Shipping. The network card adopts optical signal transmission, no electromagnetic leakage, light waves can not run out of the optical fiber, no signal leakage, and the inherent confidentiality of optical fiber communication is gradually applied to some sectors that are relatively sensitive to data security. Such as the national army, aerospace, research institutes, public security organs, military industries, high-tech research and development units.
Optical fiber communication transmission is not easily affected by external electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI), has stable data transmission, high transmission bandwidth and simple bandwidth upgrade. It is gradually accepted by departments with relatively high data transmission quality requirements and relatively large data transmission volume, such as image transmission of large hospitals, massive pictures of libraries, archives, survey and design institutes, and transmission of image data etc.

The copper cable system evolved from Cat5 to Cat6A. The cross-frame, shielding (or even double-layer shielding) of the structure was increased, and the wire diameters became larger and larger, all of which increased the raw material costs and transportation costs of copper cables intangibly. installation of auxiliary materials costs, installation and construction costs and test costs. The copper cable system evolved from four test parameters of Cat5 to a dozen later, and now there is an additional external crosstalk test parameter, making the acceptance test of Cat6A cabling system more cumbersome and time consuming. However, since the development of optical fiber, no changes have occurred in volume and weight and the test parameters generally have only two attenuations and lengths. With the development of optical communication technology, the cost of raw materials has declined and installation and construction have become more and more convenient.

The application of 10GBASE-LRM enables OM1 and OM2 optical cables to reach a transmission distance of 300 meters in 10 Gigabit Ethernet, which greatly reduces the cost of wiring.
Large range of use environment temperatures.
Optical fiber has strong chemical resistance and long service life of up to 40 years.
Different protect materials and internal structures can handle the harsh working environment.
.......
It is for these reasons that the application of fiber-to-the-desktop FTTD has become a trend of the future. Some even use Cat6A as the end of the copper age, and fiber optic cable will be the ultimate choice for the network.

Product Introduction:
LREC9250PF-SFP is a fiber Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express x1 server adapter developed by Shenzhen Lianrui Electronics Co., Ltd. based on the Intel I350. It is also a new R&D design another high-performance fiber-optic network adapterafter the successful development and application of LREC9230PF/9240PF.The performance is optimized so that system I/O is no longer a bottleneck in high-end network applications. The adapter can be bundled and aggregated. Teaming implements fault tolerance, automatically detects and implements the routing of traffic from the failed port to other members in the same group to continue operation for uninterrupted communication. The adapter has integrated hardware acceleration and performs TCP/UDP/IP verification. Offload and TCP segmentation tasks. Host processing technology can offload accelerators, freeing up CPU resources to free up more CPU resources to handle other applications. The adapter is deployed on multiple networks and at high performance. Ideal solution for deploying critical web applications and environments on servers.
